GreenPan was developed by two Flemish childhood friends: Jan Helskens and Wim De Veirman. When they discovered that traditional non-stick pans release toxic substances when overheated, they embarked on a quest for a healthy alternative. Eventually, they developed Thermolon, a ceramic non-stick coating containing zero harmful PFAS, made from a derivative of sand. And that’s how GreenPan was born.
